January 20 – February 18
Element: Air
Quality: Fixed
Ruling house: Eleventh
Ruling planets: Saturn, Uranus
The Aquarius zodiac sign is the eleventh sign of the zodiac. Traditionally ruled by Saturn, in the modern age its rulership was completed with the one of Uranus, making this sign the image of disruption for new, of invention, of the uncommon.
They are very comfortable in atypical groups, borderline revolutionary social movements or everything that is new, exciting or even shocking. Many of them are prone to acquiring strange sets of skills, making them suitable to all sort of unusual jobs. It’s not uncommon for them to change completely their lifestyle, their surroundings and the way they channel value to society without warning. What’s even more surprising is that they feel extremely comfortable in this new role, feeling like “they were always there”.
Their social skills are almost ingrained in their personality, they make contact very easily, but it’s very difficult to get to the core of an Aquarian, not only because of their extreme volatility, but also because they may not know themselves where of what that “inner core” is. Just like Librans, they tend to be reliable in their own unreliability, completing seemingly impossible tasks or projects, only to resign after that, in search of the next challenge.
Aquarius are like from another world. And indeed, they seem to be “in tune” with higher octaves of life and sometimes they seem to act on autopilot, just channeling what they “hear”. That, and the quality of air, makes Aquarius a bit unreliable and unpredictable. But you can always count on an Aquarius to be exciting and exhilarating.
Aquarius rules the eleventh house of the zodiac.
